ADAM AND JOE LIVE
To celebrate 20 years since their TV debut, Adam and Joe took to the stage at London’s BFI for a sell out show.
For the event, I designed and directed an animated version of the ‘Travellin’ Tales‘ jingle, a featured in their BBC 6Music radio show.
With the design, I decided to use a limited colour palette and bold, exaggerated characters to make sure the action was clear and visually striking.
For the animation, I created a rough timed out version and then gradually cleaned it up until I was happy with the general flow, pace and action.
As the song is about travel, I thought it was important to include all the usual forms of transport but also a few weird and wonderful ones too.
The whole film needed to have a constant sense of movement, with each shot transitioning into one another in fluid and interesting ways.
It was a real treat to attend the live show and have my work up on the big screen at the BFI Southbank. It was a really fun night. Huge thanks to Adam and Joe.
